Time machines are stupid

How to build a time machine

Building a time machine is stupid, and this is why.

First of all, it's would be so hard and expensive to do that it would be nearly impossible. But since i am an incredibly smart Rick and Morty watching Discord moderator, i think i'll be able to find a way to do it.

The faster you go, the slower time is to you. And if you could move faster then the speed of light, it would technically be possible to go back in time. But is that possible?

According to Einstein's theory of relativity, the speed of light acts as a universal speed limit for anything with mass. The more energy is added to an object, the faster it's able to go, but you would need an infinite amount of energy to surpass light speed.

Luckily, i already figured out how to get an infinite amount of energy. It can be done with a perpetual motion machine, something i already wrote this article about. But it wouldn't generate all of the infinite energy at once, and even if it would, it would destroy the universe.

The stupidity

So building a time machine is impossible, and there is no currently known way to change that. I guess that i don't have godlike intilligence after all, even tho i watch Rick and Morty...

But let's just pretend that it's possible. Let's just pretend that we invented a working time machine. But even that would be stupid, wich i will explain later, but let's discuss the rules first.

The time machine will work like a teleporter. You select a time, and you will be teleported to that time. But as you are about to press the "start" button, you realise something. The Earth travels roughly 1,000 miles per hour. If you pressed that button, you would have just ended up in space.

So you can just add a feature to the time machine where it calculates where you need to be, right? Nope. Because the density of your monecules and those of the air you just start existing in will cause you to explode and die.

My final message

But even if you could build a safe and working time machine, why would you? The past already happened, and it's unhealthy to have such a godlike power like changing the past. Everything ends, that's just how nature works. Also, why would you change the future? The whole point of the future is that it changes, so why change it? And why would you want to see what happens in the future, isn't it more exciting to wait and speculate how everything will be then? The only thing you can change is the time we are in right now, and trust me, it's better that way.
